Weekly Grade and Predictions

Week 7 is in the books and this division is upside down and on its head. There is a lot of football left but teams are beginning to establish themselves and this is going to be a fun ride to the finish.
Let’s ride!

GRADES

Broncos
Going on the road is never easy but when you face a back-up quarterback that has not started in 2 years and a 3rd string running back, you would think your odd would go up, NOPE! Teddy Bridgewater was 23 of 33 (69.7%) for 187 yards and 2 touchdowns with a interception. Javonte Williams had 4 carries for 20 yards with 6 receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown. Courtland Sutton had 5 receptions for 68 yards. The defense had a sack and 3 tackles for loss. Brandon McManus was 2 for 2 on extra points. The Broncos started very slow and were down 10-0 at halftime and got killed against the run as the Browns ran for 182 yards.

Grade: D-

Chiefs
The Chiefs surrendered points on the Titans first 5 possessions and were down 27-0 at halftime. Patrick Mahomes was 20 of 35 (57.1%) for 206 yards and a interception with 6 carries for 35 yards and 2 fumbles with 1 fumble lost before he was pulled out of the game after a nasty hit that he needed help getting off the field. Chad Henne came in and was 11 for 16 (68.7%) for 82 yards. Darrell Williams had 5 carries for 20 yards with 3 receptions for 30 yards. Byron Pringle had 5 receptions for 73 yards. The defense had a sack and 5 tackles for loss with a interception. Harrison Butker was 1 for 2 on fieldgoals. The Chiefs were beat everyway you could imagine. NO BUENO!!!

Grade: F-

Raiders
This was the ultimate trap game for the Raiders. No Darren Waller and the Eagles came out and took a 7-0 lead. That was it. The Raiders scored 30 unanswered points and this one was over. Derek Carr was 31 of 34 (91.1%) for 323 yards and 2 touchdowns and a interception. Kenyon Drake had 14 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown with 3 receptions for 10 yards. Foster Moreau had 6 receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown. The defense had 2 sacks and 3 tackles for loss with 2 forced fumbles and recoveries. Daniel Carlson was 2 for 2 on fieldgoals and 3 for 4 on extra points. The Raiders harassed Jalen Hurts all game long and played a well rounded game.

Grade: A

PREDICTION

New England Patriots at Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers a very good team and will come out a punch the Patriots in the mouth all game long.
Chargers 31 Patriots 20
Spread: Chargers -5
Over/Under: 49

Washington Football Team at Denver Broncos
This game is really, really hard to pick. Injuries and inconsistency from both teams.
Broncos 24 WFT 17
Spread: Broncos -3
Over/Under: 44

New York Giants at Kansas City Chiefs
This game will be a blood letting and will not be pretty.
Chiefs 38 Giants 17
Spread: Chiefs -9.5
Over/Under: 52.5
Last week: 2-1 Season: 14-10 (Bye: Las Vegas Raiders)

The division is a lot closer than most of us thought it would be at this point. With that said and so much parody, each week has become a little more exciting. Here’s to a fantastic finish!

Mahomes Family Moment of the Week

$7o,000,000… for a stadium for a women’s soccer team. Terrible investment.

Honorable Mention

You can’t blame Pat. This one starts out nice and then ends with Jackson being as cringeworthy as he always is.
